Next Version of Microsoft Sharepoint Portal Server to be foundation for WinGov Workspace™

WinGov today announced that Microsoft’s Sharepoint Portal Server version 2.0 will be used to create a complete portal solution for government. 

Future versions of WinResponse will be integrated into the portal that can be used by the public, employees, elected officials, vendors and partners.  Designed specifically to meet the needs of government, the WinGov Workspace handles integrated workflow, collaboration, and task management through a single portal framework.  Plug-ins such as WinResponse can be added to the Workspace to handle specific workflow requirements.  Legacy systems can have new Smart Parts™ added to the portal to increase productivity through consistent design while leveraging systems already in place.

Sharepoint Portal Sever is part of a productivity and collaboration solution including Sharepoint Team Services and Microsoft Office System 2003.
